NOGAPS Operational Stratospheric Forecasts

Code 7646, Middle Atmosphere Dynamics
Naval Research Laboratory, Washington DC

Click on the links below to view current NOGAPS 144-hour forecast loops of stratospheric conditions. Geopotential height (solid contours, in decameters) and temperature (color contours, Kelvin) are plotted on polar projections to 20 degrees latitude. Horizontal winds are plotted as vectors over CONUS, the Middle East (ME), and Far East (FE) regions. Winds over a floating region of interest (ROI) may also be available based on operational requirements.
