until early May, when operational forecasts were terminated. All

Steve Eckermann will
again be running these MWFM forecasts onsite at Arena Arctica in Kiruna,
Sweden during Phase 3, starting ~22nd. February.
One important thing to remember: Always click
the Refresh/Reload button on your browser to make sure you are viewing the
latest forecast GIF, and not an old cached version on your local machine.

March 2000:
The regional sector shown opposite has been moved westward to
encompass the eastern United States, in preparation for forecasting for
ER-2 transit flight from Kiruna to Westover Air Force Base, MA and/or
Dryden Flight Research Center, CA. Contours have been
changed from mean temperatures to total wind speeds to aid planning of
optimal flight route to avoid both turbulence and excessive
headwinds.
